Endourology is a specialisation in urology that refers to minimally invasive surgical techniques used to view and perform surgery on the urinary tract. Endourology procedures involve the insertion of endoscopes and other instruments into small incisions. However, most of the procedures involve using the existing channels of the urinary tract without making an incision.

What are urinary stones:

Urinary stones are hard masses of minerals in the urinary tract. They develop when the minerals in concentrated urine crystallize and form stones. Small urinary stones may pass without treatment, but larger tones need medications or surgery. If left untreated, urinary stones may lead to infections and other complications.

Sign and Symptoms

Sometimes smaller stones (less than 5 mm) cause no problems. But if a stone irritates the urinary tract or blocks the flow of urine, that may lead to the following signs and symptoms include:
